The proposal of Guggenheim Museum at Helsinki, the Finnish capital, brings an occasion of a global confluence of art, culture and architecture. The plan form of a continuously sweeping Nordic Knot inter-penetrating with itself is synchronized with the urban grid of the region. The building itself becomes a piece of sculpture integrated with the urban surroundings. It transcends beyond being an enclosure exhibiting the arts, and becomes an artwork establishing itself in the canvas of Helsinki.
