The Istanbul Disaster Prevention and Education Centre is a fusion of modern international design principles and the older local architectural heritage. The campus has been visualized as a single monolithic form, disseminating various sensory and spatial experiences through a symbiotic coupling of interior and exterior spaces. The Centre has been designed as a cluster of pyramidal structures of varying sizes with a slanting cut off at the top to allow the northern light source to enter.
