Located in the outskirts of Kolkata, Swarnim School is envisaged as an institution that formalizes the education system, while fostering an environment of creative learning through spatial and emotional perception. The architecture, thus, is a reflection of contemporary minimalism with accents of life breaking out, in the form of multiple spatial subsystems coming together to create a holistic institutional monolith. With sudden inner courtyards, a mix of formal tones with vibrant hues, the seriousness of concrete with the softness of permeating greens, it is intended that learning will seep into young minds as a part of daily life, and not as an exercise.
