Bonochhaya Plaza, Gallery and Clubhouse, Shantiniketan

The plaza, art gallery and clubhouse are planned along the front edge to engage the local community and artists truly bringing the spirit of the place into the site. The plaza physically extends the street over a long culvert and onto a brick podium accentuated by large concrete feature walls punctured with forms inspired by Tagore’s art. These murals are staggered and will eventually have dense greenery visible through the cut outs bringing out the underlying theme of nature in Shantiniketan’s way of life.
