In the restored House of Sister Nivedita in the old part of the city, the exhibition is designed as a sensory, experiential journey through space and time, rather than just an informative archive. Design allowed flexibility of use in space, such that the Museum can also act as an active platform proliferating the ideas of Sister that led to much Social reform and empowerment of women in the 19th Century, pre-independent India.
